A challenge from the offset, a new build situated in an often-flooded corner of a field in the Scottish Borders, with no power or amenities.

Ken was recommended to the client by the architect as they needed a Project Manager who was able to adapt to the harsh conditions and issues as they arose.

With his team of trusted tradesmen, they created a bespoke timber-framed house from scratch in 14 months, including a treatment plant that was disguised into the landscape in place of a sceptic tank as the ground was too hard for a soakaway.

Adding the thistle to the north elevation topped off this unique build, leaving Ken’s mark as a proud Scot on a beautiful new home for a local family.
