Ken’s first new build project was to create the bespoke timber roof for Bob Whyte, a professional iron monger and renowned perfectionist, in an exclusive area of Edinburgh with spectacular views over the city.

Bob was so impressed with Ken’s craftsmanship that they continued to work together for a decade on huge commercial projects, employing a raft of other carefully selected tradesmen, each bringing their unique skills to the task.
